Posted on Apr 08, 2011. No their isnt a default radio code but this is a 2007 and it was about this time that manufacturers started using radios that worked via the ECU so if a battery was changed it didnt lose its code, but yours could be of the older type and need a code so if you bought it second hand and didnt get the code number then ask at dealers but if it was a rental car in its first owner then its possible its 1111 as i know all our rental cars came like this with code reset so us at the airport couild reset the radio if the customer left the lights on or whatever Mar 04, 2011.
NIt's been a few years since I've had to do this.this is strictly off memory! There is the ashtray & assembly underneath (cupholder & what I like to call the 'secret compartment') this needs to come out first!

Two screws on the side, the a few more around it (sorry I don't remembe r exact locations) Then the plastic cover around the radio that says 'Honda' on the top will have 2 screws on the bottom that need to come off.then the radio screws should be right behind it! Consult with a dealer or electronics store first!
NFirst remove the ash tray - press the release inside the ash tray compartment and pull it out. Nthen, remove the screws inside this ash tray compartment.
Nthen, remove the dash cover around the stereo. Nthen, unbolt the bracket around your stereo. Nthen, pull it out, and unplug it.
Nput in your new stereo (you may need a wiring harness, or insert depending on what type of stereo you are putting in that you can buy where you'd buy the new stereo.) n. Ndo the opposite of what you did uninstalling to install the new stereo. Nyou're done. No matter if its a stick or an automatic. First remove the center console around the shifter. Then unscrew the 2 screws holding the bottom of the trim.
Look under the trim and there is 2 more screws. Also take the knee trim off.
There is two screws holding it on. Then place all of it in the back seat. Now, unscrew the 4 screws that hold the entire center together (cup holders and radio). If replacing the radio with an aftermarket one, you must remove the 4 screws holding the radio onto the holder. You may also need the adapter for the aftermarket radio. Wal-mart has the kit for under $20. You best bet would be to look in your manual.
Every car stereo i have ever put in/taken out myself i have done with the help of the car manual that same with the vehical. If you don't have one Auto Zone, Pep Boys, O'Reily's and NAPA all have them, and they are, i am pretty sure usually under 15 doll ars. Answer: You need to remove the trim piece that runs around it and the climate control and over the steering column. There are several screws under it, and one just above the radio. Afterwards, it pops out, careful though, you might break the clips.
Really just removing the screws is enough if you can't pop it off. You'll see screws on either side of the radio.
Remove these and the radio will come off. Assembly is reverse, however, when you install an aftermarket one, make sure you have an adapter kit to mount your new radio to the brackts. The only car manual made is Chilton's, and it doesn't really cover the Stanza that well since it's for several cars. Usually this is never available in auto stores. You'll need to order it. This is because the last model Stanza was only produced for 3 years, then changed to the Altima (Stanza/Altima on some models). There is a manual for older Stanza's, however, it offers no help.
It is actually really easy. Pull out the fan vents above the center console.
They just 'pry' out. Unscrew the climate control center/clock/rear defrost/hazard panel. Un clip all of the wires.
Now go below by the transmission selector. You need to pry up plastic panel that sheaths the shifter. It will come up, but you won't be able to take it completely off (due to the width of the shifter). The ash tray needs to come out. There are 4 screws that need to come out, which will release the entire center console. 2 of them are behind where the climate controls were, 1 is behind the ash tray, and 1 is to the left of the ash tray behind the cigarrette lighter.
After removing those screws the whole console will just lift out. From there you can access the screws on the side of the radio unit. Just put it back together in reverse.
